The H2O Racing 4 Africa fundraising campaign which was launched by H2O Racing founder Nicolò di San Germano in 2018 has resulted in establishing the very first wells ever being built in Fer El Village in the Municipality of Gorom in landlocked Burkina Faso in West Africa.
This initiative highlights H2O Racing’s strong stance and conviction toward its Corporate Social Responsibility and follows its signing of the Water Manifesto in 1998.
The 1998 Water Manifesto became a reference for all movements acting or wishing to act to promote access to water and states that ‘this source of life belongs to all the inhabitants of the Earth in common’ and the H2O Racing 4 Africa campaign is fully and actively endorsing that message at all H2O Racing events across the world. “We are indebted in any way we can to help and support the belief that the right to water is an inalienable individual and collective right,” said Nicolò di San Germano. “Our championships have relied on water since 1981. We fully respect and embrace it and this campaign is fundamentally about helping those who do not have access to a clean water supply. For this reason we want to build as many wells as possible where there is no water.”
Every donation whatever the amount means a drop of clean water for a child in Africa.
